Kindergarten Story Week

Storytelling is more than just reading the words of a story out loud. It takes other skills as well. Reading sessions stimulates communication skills, develops a child’s confidence and self-esteem provide opportunities for creative self-expression, encourage thinking and cognitive skills, explore a range of literacy concepts imaginatively and enjoyably. Developing a love of reading is the cornerstone of our academic program. The kindergarten students of Eminence Private School celebrated the story week online with fun and enthusiasm starting from the 24th of August till the 26th of August. Special online Storytelling sessions were scheduled where teachers, students and parents got an opportunity to share a story online with other children. Day 1 of the Sessions Ms Karen Ann Jolly, KG Coordinator has done a session on the story-“Don’t Wake up Mama”. On the day 2 of storytelling session parents and the students shared stories with the others. Ms Karen Ann Jolly did the session on the story “Corduroy” on the same day, On the day 3 of the storytelling session all the kindergarten facilitators enacted the story-” The cap seller” Online. Children were all excited to see their teachers dressed up like the characters. The certificate for participation and appreciation was handed over to parents virtually on a later day.
