Mr. Sankalp hails from a musically affluent family and holds a Postgraduation, M. Phil and is enrolled in Ph.D. He holds Visharad’ – Diploma in Classical Vocals with distinction from Bhatkhande Sangeet Sansthan, Lucknow, 'Praveen' – Diploma in Classical Vocals, from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, Madhyama - Diploma in Classical Tabla with distinction from Bhatkhande Sangeet Sansthan, Lucknow. Born in a distinguished family with a rich cultural heritage in Lucknow, Sankalp was initiated into the world of Sur, Laya and Taal at the age of three. He has been trained in both Indian and Western classical music and has done an immense body of work for acclaimed directors like Anurag Kashyap, Sriram Raghavan, Vikramaditya Motwane. He has also worked for Indian music industry with celebrities like Hariharan, Amit Mishra, Nakash Aziz, Shahid Mallya, Shankar Mahadevan, Arpita Mukherjee, Richa Sharma, Kailash Kher, Pritam Chakrobarty, KK, Shreya Ghoshal, Karthik, Remo Fernandes, Rakesh Pandit, Naresh Kamath – Paresh Kamath, Shilpa Rao, Neelesh Misr, Jaspinder Narula, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Anuradha Paudwal, Bhupinder-Mitali, Kavita Seth, Javed Ali, Ram Shankar. As a musical genius he has worked for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, MX Player and has been honoured with “Yuva Ratn Award” awarded by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Yogi Adityanath. He has also got an opportunity to perform in front of the Indian Prime Minister Honorable Mr. Narendra Modi.
